Ormindo Thumbnail.png

The Royal Academy of Music required an A1 poster and a programme to promote their contemporary take on the opera Ormindo.

I decided to use the motif of playing cards to represent the love games being played between the king, his wife and two princes.

The poster is designed so that it can be rotated, like a playing card, representing the constant change in who is ahead of the love game being played.

The king's wife, who is represented by a queen holds a mirror to portray the vain side of her character while the prince holds a flower to show his love for her.
